Parisa

Meet Parisa.  The first thing you notice is her hair, its simply glorious.   She drove up to the shoot location and slipped into the spot next to us in a cute little convertible that matched her personality.   I mean that in the cutest way possible.  She looked fantastic.

Our first shoot together was to play with an ethereal theme in the park and then have her change looks into a casual everyday look.  If the wind hadn't been a blusterous 15 - 20 mph we'd of had a great time shooting, but add that wind and her mass of hair and you've got trouble.  In a way it was a like a test, to see how she could handle working with something so frustrating and not let it show on her face.  But she did it.  She managed to wrestle her hair in place and hit a pose, wrestle another round with her hair and hit another pose.  This all looks fairly mundane to the average person, but its no easy feat.  In truth I probably should have rescheduled the shoot, which would have been fair to her, but I didn't.  She's a good sport.  :)

Indian Riverside Park is no stranger to photographers.  In fact between the dogs and us you'd think the park was made excessively for our use.  And for photographers it offers all kinds of landscape to fit any mood you are going for.  So went for a foggy forest here.

Parisa has the kind of look every photographer wants from a model.  It's no surprise that she's been 'discovered' by other local photographers and snatched up for a shoot.  She has a beauty that is natural and illusive yet friendly and almost attainable.  Her eyes will shift from greenish to amber then brown, her hair will frame her face in so many looks its impossible to capture them all.  We look forward to our next shoot with her, soon, I hope!

Thank you Parissa we loved working with you!!  For other photographers interested in booking her please see the link below to her Model Mayhem account.

Droplets

Although not my typical post of spectacular women, this post is macro photography.

In my kitchen window are a couple plants and they are so pretty when I spray them with water.  The droplets just sit there growing bigger and bigger as more water gathers.  I found myself staring at it and knew it was time to take some super close ups.   I have taken pictures of droplets that are so pristine you can actually see me in them.

Orchids are so intriguing.

Kristina Caruso

These are some of my favorite images from Kristina's shoot.

Kristina Caruso is one of those girls who is beautiful, elegant and graceful and she's a girl's girl.  When she originally approached Pretty Muse for a shoot she was so excited I didn't think she was going to be able to contain herself and wait until our shoot date.

She did everything by the book, followed all the pre-shoot instructions, you know, kept her skin exfoliated and hydrated.  Didn't tan too much, her eyebrows were impeccable, her finger and toe nails were flawless, everything so sparkling fresh and ready for a shoot.  I know Donna Devlin (our hair and makeup guru) was more than thrilled to work with her. Lucky for Kristina, the stylist side of Donna took Kristina shopping so everything was coordinated to exactly as Kristina wanted.

Kristina is a hair stylist who works at Salon Identity in Tradition.

And what's she like, you ask?  She's sweet and kind and her only flaw was a innate tendency to scrounge up her forehead for which she was promptly reminded, 'Forehead!' and she instantly dropped the eyebrows and smoothed out her forehead.  It was kinda cute actually.  Anyways I was so absorbed into this shoot that I didn't notice I was standing in a mound of fire ants until it was too late and I was thoroughly bitten - got me off my game for a while - I just handed Kristina my camera and did a wild dance beating the things off me while my husband kept shooting.  You know shooting can be much more precarious than it may seem.

Frances Ilusorio Raab

Yes-siree, this lovely lady is indeed gorgeous.  She did a boudoir shoot with us so these are what I can show you.

Frances Ilusorio Raab wanted to do a boudoir shoot for her boyfriend, a drummer who is in a local rock band called Fricktion.  If you haven't seen them and want a fun night out to live music be sure to check their Facebook page - see link.  Anyways, I digress...

When you first meet her you can't help but look at her harder trying to identify her exotic looks.  What is she?  Well it turns out she's half Philippino and half American and quite beautiful.  She has that natural grace most Asians are known for --- we had her in all kinds of poses and she easily slipped into and out of the most body twisting poses you could imagine.

She'll charm you and have you under her little spell with her dazzling smile and infectious laugh.  Frances was a real treat to photograph and I know her boyfriend is going to be awed by the images he gets.  (I wish I could show them all, but alas, you'll have to use your imagination.)

We're sure this is a Yoga pose, but we don't know it's name, so henceforth and until otherwise noted, this pose will be called the Frances in honor of her grace under pressure.  Holding this pose was no easy feat!  And I just love this image.

The makeup you can't help but ask?  Well thats at the hands of our hair and makeup extraordinaire, Donna Devlin, who can do a transformation one can only pine for.  Be sure to check the Before and After section for this one.  Thank you Donna you always amaze me. (ALWAYS!)

Sorry no video for this shoot it's sealed under lock and key for someone's eyes only.
